i) Achievements
Up to 2006, the Office has completed the following works,
a.constructions of dikes: 76,157 meters;
b.land area of development: 7,353 hectares;
c.greenery works and parks: 11 locations totaling 118.37 hectares; and
d.land provided for major public infrastructure:1,213.56 hectares.

ii)  Policies
In order to effectively maintain and plan the reclaimed lands as well as implement directives of the Executive Yuan's policies such as Investing Taiwan First, Water ＆Green Construction Plan, Private Participation in the Public Infrastructure Projects and social welfare projects etc., the following endeavors have been among top priorities of agenda of this office：
a. BOT (Built-Operated and Transferred) Projects such as the Taitung Chipen Hot Spring Vacation Resorts, the Hualien Fonglin Resorts, the Hualien Pinglin Elderly Housing and Regimen Park etc.
b.Ecological reforestation in Chishang Development Area in Taitong..
c. The Ilan Hanpen Levee Development Project in accordance with the Construction Plan of the Suao-Hualien Section of the Eastern Express way.
d. Reviewing and executing The Development and Disposition Plan for the Levee of Taipei Flood Prevention Phase III approved by the Executive Yuan.
e. Implementing the Managing Plan of Water-front’s Land Use to reforest the river sides and regulate the land using in a sustainable manner.
f. Searching, clarifying and analyzing the land use feasibility of the levees.
g. Providing lands for major public infrastructures..
h.proceeding a Preliminary planning for elderly housing and caring center in Koukuang Section in Sanshia ,Taipei County.
i. Establishing the information system for national reclaimed lands.
